Introduction

At Flashfood, we are on a mission to reduce the environmental impact of food waste and affordably feed people. We are tackling this gigantic problem together, with a team that believes in authenticity, perseverance, and humility. Flashfood is a mobile platform connecting surplus food directly to its users at massive discounts to reduce food waste. Users see deals on surplus food through their phone, pay through their phone and pick it up in the store. Flashfood is currently partnered with Loblaw in Canada and is organizing a series of additional grocery partnerships in the U.S. Our team comes from a variety of different industries and backgrounds such as management consulting, finance, and emerging technology, however, we decided it was time to do something different - something that would create a better world for future generations! We are a small but mighty team of nearly 50, and you will be trusted to work independently a lot of the time as this role can be done remotely most days of the week. This doesn’t mean you’ll have trouble keeping up though! You will have lots of guidance and full training on exactly what to do. We’ll always be available to answer your questions and provide feedback.


Position

Manage the full cycle recruitment process Collaborate with the business and HR to develop recruitment strategies Actively seek out creative strategies to source diverse candidates, build and manage talent pipelines, leverage technology, and improve the recruitment process Partner with the hiring manager to create job postings and screening questions Identify, share and implement best practices and trends in talent acquisition Collaborate with the HR team on various initiatives to ensure we work together by creating a positive, respectful and inspiring work environment Instrumental in maintaining and building our company culture through the recruitment and onboarding process You’ll act as a change champion supporting and promoting changes to our recruitment processes Proactively source talent by leveraging social media and other online networks Screen, interview, and shortlist candidates for hiring managers and ensure all interviews are scheduled accordingly Keep our hiring managers up to date on hiring progress and timelines


Responsibilities

  • You have 2 to 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a fast-paced high growth company experience recruiting in tech an asset
  • You have demonstrated skills in building meaningful relationships with hiring managers and candidates
  • You are passionate about learning what motivations of others and what drives them in their career;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or any related field
